How to assemble 3x5 planter boxes

This post is going to provide the best step by step instructions to build the popular 3' x 5' planter kit. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have. 3x5 kits consist of the following 42 screws 6 boards 5’ 1x4 6 boards 3’ 1x4 6 boards 1x2 4 boards 2x2 We are also making these in custom sizes.

step 1

Attach 1x2 to inside center of 3’ side section

Step 2

Attach 2x2 to each inside end of 3’ side section

Step 3

Attach (2) 1x2 approximately 16” in on both sides of 5’ side section

Attach 3’ section and 5’ section together on corner 2x2.

Step 5

Add next 3’ or 5’ section following step 4. Repeat for remaining 3’ or 5’ section

Step 6

look fondly at your planter box. You just built that. Feel free to brag to all your friends that you are now a master carpenter.
